TLD Allocating Terms

These TLD Allocating Terms ("Terms") govern the registration, renewal, transfer, and management of domain names through HostupCloud. HostupCloud acts as an ICANN-accredited registrar and reseller for various top-level domains (TLDs). By registering a domain through HostupCloud, you agree to these Terms in addition to the General Terms and Conditions.

1. Registrar Role & Accreditation

HostupCloud operates as an ICANN-accredited domain registrar and/or an authorised reseller of ICANN-accredited registrars for various TLDs. When you register a domain through HostupCloud:

1.1HostupCloud submits your registration to the relevant registry on your behalf
1.2The domain is registered in your name — you are the legal registrant
1.3HostupCloud acts as the registrar of record or sponsoring registrar
1.4For ccTLDs and some ngTLDs, HostupCloud may act as a reseller of a third-party registrar
1.5All registrations are subject to ICANN's Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) and registry-specific policies
ICANN policies take precedence over these Terms in all domain-related matters. You can review ICANN's registrant rights and responsibilities at icann.org.

Generic TLDs

.com.net.org.info.biz.co.io.app.dev.ai

Governed by ICANN / respective registries (Verisign, Afilias, etc.)

Country Code TLDs (ccTLDs)

.in.uk.us.de.au.ca.sg.ae

Governed by the respective national registry. Residency/presence requirements may apply.

New Generic TLDs (ngTLDs)

.tech.store.online.site.cloud.host.digital.agency

Governed by ICANN-accredited registries. Additional registry policies may apply.

Premium & Restricted TLDs

.gov.edu.mil.bank

Eligibility strictly restricted by the registry. HostupCloud cannot override registry requirements.

2. Eligibility & Registrant Requirements

To register a domain through HostupCloud, you must meet the following requirements:

2.1Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
2.2Provide accurate, current, and complete WHOIS registrant contact details
2.3For .in domains: have a valid Indian presence (individual or entity) as required by NIXI/INREGISTRY
2.4For .uk domains: comply with Nominet's terms of registration
2.5For .us domains: be a US citizen, permanent resident, or have a US-based organisation/presence
2.6For premium/restricted TLDs: meet registry-specific eligibility criteria before applying
2.7Providing false WHOIS information is a breach of ICANN policy and grounds for immediate domain cancellation
2.8Domain names registered under false identity may be revoked by the registry without refund

3. Domain Registration & Allocation

Availability Check

Domain availability is checked in real time against the registry. HostupCloud does not guarantee a domain will remain available between the search and checkout.

First-Come, First-Served

Domains are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment must be completed for registration to proceed. A pending order does not reserve the domain.

Instant Registration

Most gTLDs are registered within seconds of payment confirmation. Some ccTLDs (e.g. .in, .uk) may take up to 24 hours due to registry processing.

Registration Period

Domains can be registered for 1–10 years depending on the TLD. The minimum registration period is 1 year for most TLDs.

Domain Ownership

You own the domain for the duration of the registration period. HostupCloud does not claim ownership of your registered domains.

Sunrise / Landrush

For new TLD launches, priority registration periods (Sunrise for trademark holders, Landrush for early access) may apply with different pricing.

4. Pricing, Renewals & Refunds

Registration fee

Charged at the time of registration. Includes first-year registry fee plus HostupCloud service fee. Price displayed at checkout in INR.

Renewal fee

Charged annually (or per registration period). Renewal prices may differ from registration prices based on registry pricing.

Transfer fee

Incoming transfers from other registrars include a 1-year extension for most TLDs. Outgoing transfers are free but may require an auth/EPP code.

Auto-Renewal & Expiry

4.1Auto-renewal is enabled by default. You will receive reminders 60, 30, and 7 days before expiry
4.2Domains not renewed by the expiry date enter a 30-day Redemption Grace Period (RGP). Redemption carries an additional registry fee
4.3After the RGP, the domain enters Pending Delete and cannot be recovered before it is released to the public
4.4You may disable auto-renewal at any time from the domain management panel
Domain registrations are non-refundable. Once a domain is registered, the registry fee is immediately charged to HostupCloud and cannot be recovered. No refunds are issued for domain registrations, renewals, or redemption fees.

5. Domain Transfers

Transfer In (to HostupCloud)

Domain must be older than 60 days from registration
Domain must not be within 60 days of a previous transfer
Unlock the domain and disable WHOIS privacy at your current registrar
Obtain your EPP/Auth code from your current registrar
Initiate the transfer from HostupCloud's domain panel
Approval email is sent to the registrant email — approve within 5 days
Transfer extends registration by 1 year for most TLDs

Transfer Out (from HostupCloud)

Unlock your domain in HostupCloud's domain management panel
Disable domain privacy protection if enabled
Request your EPP/Auth code from the panel or support
Initiate the transfer at your new registrar
Approve the transfer request via the email sent to the registrant address
Transfers complete within 5–7 days for most gTLDs
60-day transfer lock applies after initial registration

6. WHOIS & Privacy Protection

WHOIS Data Requirements

6.1Registrant name, organisation (if applicable), email, phone, and address must be accurate and kept up to date
6.2ICANN requires HostupCloud to verify registrant email addresses for all new .com, .net, .org and other gTLD registrations
6.3Failure to verify email within 15 days of registration will result in domain suspension
6.4WHOIS data updates must be made through the domain management panel or by contacting support

Privacy Protection (WHOIS Guard)

6.5Free WHOIS Privacy Protection is available for supported TLDs — it replaces your personal contact details in public WHOIS with HostupCloud proxy details
6.6Privacy protection does not apply to ccTLDs that require public registrant data by registry policy (e.g. .uk)
6.7Privacy protection does not hide your data from HostupCloud, registries, or lawful legal requests
6.8Privacy protection cannot be used to conceal identity for fraudulent or illegal purposes
Under ICANN's Temporary Specification for gTLD Registration Data (post-GDPR), non-public WHOIS data may still be disclosed to parties with a legitimate interest (e.g. law enforcement, IP rights holders) via the Registration Data Request Service (RDRS).

7. Domain Disputes (UDRP)

Domain name disputes are handled in accordance with ICANN's Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) and, where applicable, country-specific dispute policies (e.g. Nominet's DRS for .uk, INDRP for .in).

7.1HostupCloud will comply with decisions issued by ICANN-approved dispute resolution providers (WIPO, NAF, etc.)
7.2A domain subject to a UDRP proceeding will be placed on registrar lock and cannot be transferred until the dispute is resolved
7.3HostupCloud is not a party to UDRP proceedings — disputes are between the complainant and the registrant
7.4Cybersquatting (registering domains in bad faith to profit from another's trademark) is prohibited under ICANN policy
7.5HostupCloud does not mediate trademark or intellectual property disputes. Contact a qualified IP attorney for legal advice
Registering domain names that are identical or confusingly similar to trademarks, brand names, or personal names with the intent to profit is prohibited under the UDRP and may result in immediate suspension and transfer of the domain to the rightful trademark holder.

8. Prohibited Domain Use

The following uses of domains registered through HostupCloud are strictly prohibited:

8.1Cybersquatting — registering for bad-faith commercial gain
8.2Typosquatting — registering misspellings of well-known brands
8.3Phishing — impersonating financial institutions, brands, or government bodies
8.4Distributing malware, ransomware, or other malicious software
8.5Spam operations — using the domain as a sender domain for bulk unsolicited email
8.6Illegal content — CSAM, piracy, counterfeit goods, drug trafficking
8.7Registering domains in someone else's name without their knowledge or consent
8.8Violating registry-specific policies or restrictions for the TLD

Violations may result in immediate domain suspension or deletion. HostupCloud cooperates with ICANN, registries, law enforcement, and brand protection agencies. Report domain abuse to abuse@hostupcloud.com.

9. Suspension & Deletion

Non-Payment

Domain suspended after 3 days of non-payment past due date. Enters RGP after expiry. Deleted after RGP without recovery option.

WHOIS Inaccuracy

Registrant email unverified within 15 days → suspension. False WHOIS details → deletion upon registry notification.

AUP / Registry Violation

Immediate suspension on confirmed AUP or registry policy violation. Domain may be permanently deleted or transferred to injured party by registry order.

HostupCloud is not liable for domain loss due to registrant failure to renew, failure to verify WHOIS email, or registry-mandated deletion. It is the registrant's responsibility to maintain accurate contact details and timely renewal.
