Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes the conditions under which HostupCloud issues refunds or account credits for each service type. It supplements the General Terms and Conditions. Refunds are issued only to the original payment method or as account credits. We do not process refunds to third-party accounts.

Shared Web Hosting

Refund Eligible·45 days from date of purchase

Conditions

1.1Account must be in good standing (no AUP violations)
1.2Refund request submitted within 45 days of the original invoice
1.3Applies to first-time purchases only — renewals are excluded
1.4One refund per customer lifetime across all shared hosting plans

Exclusions

1.5Renewals of existing plans
1.6Accounts terminated for AUP violations
1.7Accounts with active chargebacks

Cloud VPS

Not Refundable·No automatic refund

Conditions

2.1Pro-rata account credit may be issued for unused full days if a cancellation request is submitted within 72 hours of the most recent invoice
2.2Credits are issued as account balance and applied to future invoices
2.3Contact billing@hostupcloud.com to request a pro-rata review

Exclusions

2.4Cancellations after 72 hours of the invoice date
2.5Resources already consumed (bandwidth, snapshots, add-ons)
2.6Accounts terminated for non-payment or AUP violations

Bare Metal / Dedicated Server

Not Refundable·Non-refundable

Conditions

3.1Bare metal servers involve physical hardware provisioning (racking, cabling, OS install) — costs are incurred immediately
3.2Billing starts from the moment the server is provisioned and handed over
3.3If HostupCloud fails to provision within the agreed SLA timeframe, a pro-rata credit may be issued for the delay period

Exclusions

3.4All cancellations post-provisioning
3.5Early termination of committed-term contracts without written agreement
3.6Accounts terminated for AUP violations or non-payment

Domain Registration

Not Refundable·Non-refundable

Conditions

4.1Registry fees are immediately charged to HostupCloud upon registration — they are non-recoverable
4.2Renewals, transfers, and redemption fees are also non-refundable
4.3If HostupCloud is unable to complete a registration you paid for, a full refund will be issued automatically

Exclusions

4.4Successfully registered domains
4.5Renewals processed in error by the customer (may request reversal within 24 hours at HostupCloud's discretion)
4.6WHOIS privacy and add-on services

SSL Certificates

Not Refundable·30 days (unused only)

Conditions

5.1Refund available if the SSL certificate has not been issued or activated
5.2Once issued by the Certificate Authority (CA), the certificate is non-refundable
5.3Revocation after issuance does not entitle the customer to a refund

Exclusions

5.4Certificates already issued by the CA
5.5Certificates with validation errors caused by customer-submitted information

Object Storage

Not Refundable·Pay-as-you-go — no refund

Conditions

6.1Object Storage is billed based on actual usage (GB stored + requests)
6.2Unused prepaid credits are non-refundable but remain in the account until consumed or account closure
6.3Account credit balance at closure may be refunded at HostupCloud's discretion upon request

Exclusions

6.4Data already egressed (bandwidth charges are non-refundable)
6.5Accounts terminated for AUP violations

How to Request a Refund

1. Submit request

Open a billing support ticket at hostupcloud.help/ticket or email billing@hostupcloud.com with your invoice number and reason.

2. Review (1–3 days)

Our billing team will verify eligibility against the policy within 1–3 business days and confirm approval or provide a reason for denial.

3. Refund issued

Approved refunds to card/UPI are processed within 5–7 business days. Account credit is applied immediately upon approval.

Refunds are always returned to the original payment method (Razorpay card/UPI). We cannot refund to a different card, bank account, or third party. For NEFT/wire refunds, please provide your bank details in the support ticket.

Chargebacks & Disputes

Filing a chargeback without first contacting HostupCloud is a violation of our Terms.

7.1Chargebacks initiated without first contacting HostupCloud billing will result in immediate account suspension
7.2Any remaining balance or service credits on the account are forfeited upon a chargeback
7.3Fraudulent chargebacks (services received and used) may be disputed with supporting evidence to your bank/card issuer
7.4If you believe you were billed in error, contact billing@hostupcloud.com — we resolve billing disputes within 3 business days
7.5Legitimate chargebacks that are upheld by the bank result in immediate account termination without recovery
