Shared Web Hosting Terms

These Shared Web Hosting Terms govern the Solo, Neo, Entry, and Smart Cloud plans offered by HostupCloud. They supplement the General Terms and Conditions and the System Policies. In the event of conflict, these plan-specific terms prevail.

All shared hosting plans run on LiteSpeed Web Server with LSCache, NVMe SSD storage, and Imunify360 security. HUCPanel (cPanel-compatible) is included on all plans.

2.9Free website migration from your previous host (one migration per account)
2.10Daily backups (7-day retention) — see Section 6 for details

3. Fair Use & Resource Limits

Shared hosting is designed for standard websites. Resources are shared among all customers on the server. To ensure fair performance for all, the following limits apply:

CPU

Throttled if sustained usage exceeds 25% of a single vCPU for more than 60 seconds

Memory (RAM)

512 MB per account process. Processes exceeding this limit are killed automatically

Concurrent connections

Maximum 50 concurrent connections per domain

Inodes (files)

250,000 inodes per account (files + directories + emails)

Outbound email

120 emails per hour per account. Bulk sending requires a dedicated email service

Bandwidth

Unmetered on a fair-use basis. Accounts generating >10 TB/month will be contacted

3.1Running cryptocurrency miners, proxy services, or video streaming servers on shared hosting is prohibited
3.2Storing non-website files (backups, archives, media libraries) consuming >50% of disk quota is prohibited
3.3Accounts consistently impacting server performance will be asked to upgrade to Cloud VPS

4. Control Panel (HUCPanel)

4.1HUCPanel is HostupCloud's proprietary control panel — functionally compatible with cPanel for most common tasks
4.2Accessible at panel.hostupcloud.com or your reseller-branded panel URL
4.3File Manager, MySQL Manager, DNS Zone Editor, SSL Manager, Email Accounts, and Cron Jobs included
4.4WHM (WebHost Manager) available for reseller accounts
4.5Two-factor authentication (2FA) strongly recommended and available for all panel accounts
4.6HUCPanel is a courtesy tool — HostupCloud does not guarantee 100% feature parity with cPanel and may change or update features with 30 days' notice

5. Email Hosting

5.1Email accounts use your domain (e.g. you@yourdomain.com) — configured via HUCPanel
5.2Webmail access via Roundcube at webmail.yourdomain.com
5.3SMTP, IMAP, and POP3 supported. Secure ports (465/587 SMTP, 993 IMAP, 995 POP3) enforced
5.4SpamAssassin and Imunify360 email filtering active on all accounts
5.5DKIM, SPF, and DMARC records auto-configured for your domain
5.6Outbound limit: 120 emails/hour. Exceeding this triggers temporary suspension of outbound email
5.7Bulk email / newsletters must be sent via a dedicated email service (Mailchimp, Brevo, etc.) — not via shared hosting SMTP
5.8Shared hosting email is not appropriate for transactional email at scale (>500 emails/day)

6. Backups

Daily automatic backups taken at 02:00 IST

Retention

7 days of daily backups retained on remote storage

Scope

Files, databases, and email — full cPanel/HUCPanel account backup

Restore

Self-service restore available from HUCPanel for the last 7 backups. Support-assisted restore available 24/7.

Backups are a convenience service. HostupCloud is not liable for backup failures or data loss. Customers with critical data are strongly advised to maintain their own independent backups.

SLA credits are issued as account balance per the Service Level Agreement. Credits must be claimed within 30 days of the incident.

8. 45-Day Money-Back Guarantee

8.1Full 100% refund available within 45 days of your first shared hosting purchase — no questions asked
8.2Applies to first-time purchases of Solo, Neo, Entry, and Smart Cloud plans
8.3Contact billing@hostupcloud.com or open a support ticket to request your refund
8.4Refund processed to original payment method within 5–7 business days
8.5Renewals are not eligible for the 45-day guarantee — see the Refund Policy for renewal terms
8.6One refund per customer lifetime — the guarantee does not apply if you have previously requested a refund
8.7Accounts terminated for AUP violations are not eligible for the money-back guarantee

9. Cancellation & Termination

9.1Cancel at any time from HUCPanel or by contacting support — no minimum notice for monthly plans
9.2Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
9.3Account data is retained for 15 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted — download your data before cancelling
9.4Failure to pay within 7 days of the due date results in account suspension; failure to pay within 14 days results in termination and data deletion
9.5AUP violations result in immediate suspension without refund
